Every company registered under TIEP I, TIEP IV, IG, Entrepot or INFAC Scheme has to have guarantee since all the importation happens with import duty concessions. A Guarantee / sureties nominated by Director General of Customs in terms of section 69 of Customs Ordinance either a Bank Guarantee/ Corporate Guarantee/ Personnel Guarantee or combination of guarantees.

Since all the payments happens through guarantees it is necessary to renew the guarantee every year adhering to the conditions applied by sri lanka customs.
